Die Weinbauregion Wachau<\/h2>\n

Die Weinbauregion Wachau ist im nord\u00f6stlichen \u00d6sterreich gelegen. Westlich vom Stift Melk beginnt diese Region, die sich entlang der Donau erstreckt. Die Weinberge liegen zum Teil auf terrassierten H\u00e4ngen am Donauufer und pr\u00e4gen die Landschaft ganz entscheidend.<\/p>\n

Schwerpunkt Gr\u00fcner Veltliner<\/h3>\n

Auf kargen, aber dennoch fruchtbaren B\u00f6den wird in erster Linie der Gr\u00fcner Veltliner erzeugt. Erg\u00e4nzend kommen Riesling, Chardonnay und einige andere Sorten hinzu. Rotweine<\/a> werden in der Wachau kaum produziert.
